Banka Koper

StepNexus delivered a major breakthrough for financial institutions worldwide in 2007 by extending MULTOS support across all major payment brands. Dual-issuing banks can greatly simplify Visa and MasterCard card issuance and management processes with MULTOS platform support of both payment schemes. StepNexus supported Banka Koper by providing VSDC scripting professional services. Stepnexus also provides a hosted VSDC for MULTOS data preparation service to further assist personalization service bureaus that wish to offer a MULTOS solution to their customers.

Buypass

Buypass, a joint venture between the Norwegian State Post Office and Norsk Tipping, the State Lottery Company, brings innovative gaming to millions of Norwegian households with MULTOS-based smart cards. The smart chip contains three applications, including an electronic ID application, an e-purse for payments and winnings, and a gaming application to store favorite numbers. StepNexus manages device keys for BuyPass to ensure foundational security for multiple applications where security and simplicity matter most.

Turkish Armed Forces

Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) converged government ID, health, and payment applications into a single device using MULTOS powerful security technology to independently protect content of each provider, backed by StepNexus designed infrastructure. Several million multi-application smart cards are deployed based on dual interface MULTOS technology. TAF selected MULTOS technology for security, interoperability, flexibility and trust, and can deliver additional applications to existing devices with ease.

Kreditkort Iceland

Kreditkort Iceland, the provider of MasterCard Debit and Credit services to Icelandic banks, offers Europe's first commercial post-issuance provisioning of enhanced security for home banking. MasterCard cardholders can easily upgrade their existing chipcards with two-factor Chip Authentication Program (CAP), providing PIN-based verification of cardholders conducting online transactions. Kreditkort Iceland's post-issuance project on MULTOS is a strong proof point of the advantages of card provisioning, in which customers may securely update cards in-bank or at distributed ATMs.

Hong Kong Government

The Hong Kong Government is using MULTOS technology to secure and deliver multi-application smart cards in one of the largest and most innovative identity card deployments to date. In 2004, its SMARTICS program was awarded the “Card Technology Breakthrough Award – Implementation” by Card Technology Magazine. Nearly seven million Hong Kong citizens benefit from one ID offering many value-added applications such as ID, driver’s license, passenger and vehicle clearance, and e-business capabilities. The government-run iKMA can securely deliver additional applications to cards, and is now securing ePassports using MULTOS technology.
